Terms & Cancellation Policy

By booking a photography session, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to the following terms and conditions.

1. Booking & Payment

• A booking is confirmed once the required booking fee/deposit has been received.
• The booking fee is non-refundable, as your session date and time are reserved exclusively for you.
• The remaining balance must be paid by the agreed payment date, or before the session if otherwise arranged.
• Your booking is not considered confirmed until payment has been received.

2. Cancellations

If you need to cancel your photography session, please provide as much notice as possible.

• Cancellations made 7 days or more before the session are eligible to be transferred to a new date.
• Cancellations made less than 7 days before the session will result in the booking fee being forfeited.
• Cancellations made within 24 hours of the session, or failure to attend, will be treated as a no-show and the full session fee may be charged.
• If the remaining balance has already been paid, refunds will be handled according to the cancellation timeframe above.
• The photographer reserves the right to make reasonable exceptions in genuine emergency or exceptional circumstances.

3. Rescheduling

I understand that things can come up, and I will do my best to accommodate rescheduling where possible.

• Sessions may be rescheduled once with at least 7 days' notice.
• Rescheduling requests made with less than the required notice may result in the booking fee being forfeited and a new booking fee being required.
• A new date is subject to availability.
• If a suitable alternative date cannot be agreed upon, the booking will be treated as a cancellation.
• Repeated rescheduling may require a new booking fee.

4. Weather

For outdoor sessions, the weather may affect the safety or quality of the session. If weather conditions are unsuitable, the photographer may recommend rescheduling. Where the photographer requests the reschedule due to weather, the booking fee will be transferred to the new agreed date. Weather decisions are made at the photographer's discretion with the aim of providing the best possible experience and final images.

5. Late Arrival

Please arrive on time for your scheduled session. If you arrive late, your session may still need to finish at the originally scheduled time — this means your shooting time may be reduced. If you are more than 15 minutes late without contacting me, the session may be considered a no-show and the booking fee may be forfeited.

6. No-Shows

If you do not attend your scheduled session and have not contacted me beforehand, the booking fee will be forfeited. A new booking will require a new booking fee and will be subject to availability.

7. Photographer Cancellation

If I need to cancel or reschedule your session due to illness, emergency, equipment failure, unsafe weather conditions, or circumstances outside my reasonable control, I will provide as much notice as possible. You will be offered the option to reschedule to another available date or receive a refund of payments made for the session where applicable.

8. Force Majeure

The photographer will not be responsible for circumstances beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to severe weather, natural disasters, emergencies, venue closures, illness, transport disruptions, or other unforeseen circumstances. Where possible, the session will be rescheduled to a mutually suitable date.

9. Client Responsibilities

Clients are responsible for providing accurate booking information and communicating any relevant requirements or changes before the session. Please let me know as soon as possible if there are changes to the number of people attending, location, timing, or other important details.

10. Image Delivery

Edited images will be delivered within the timeframe communicated at the time of booking. Delivery times may vary depending on the type of session, workload, and circumstances. Images will be delivered in the agreed digital format unless otherwise arranged.

11. Image Editing & Style

By booking, you acknowledge and accept the photographer's creative style and editing approach. Requests for extensive retouching or editing outside the photographer's standard editing style may incur an additional fee and may not always be possible.

12. Copyright & Image Usage

Copyright of all photographs remains with the photographer unless otherwise agreed in writing. Clients receive permission to use their delivered images for personal purposes. Images may not be sold, altered, or used commercially without written permission from the photographer. The photographer may use photographs from your session for portfolio, website, social media, advertising, or other promotional purposes only where appropriate consent has been provided.

13. Agreement

By making a booking and paying the booking fee, you confirm that you have read and agreed to these terms and cancellation policies.
