Amber-Leigh Photography, trading as AL Creative ("we," "us," "our"), is based in Tauranga, New Zealand. This policy explains what personal information we collect through alcreative.co.nz and our booking process, why we collect it, and how it's handled, in line with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.

Images from your session may be shared on our website, portfolio, or social media (Instagram) to showcase our work, unless you let us know you'd prefer otherwise. If you do not want your images used publicly, just tell us before or after your session and we'll respect that.
When you book a session online, your booking details and deposit payment are processed securely through our booking and payment systems. A $50 deposit is required to confirm any booking and is non-refundable. Card payments are handled by our payment processor; we do not see or store your full card details.

We use Google Analytics to help us understand how visitors use our website, such as which pages are viewed and how visitors found us. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect this information, and the data it gives us is aggregated and does not identify you personally. You can read more about how Google collects and processes this data at policies.google.com/privacy, or opt out of Google Analytics tracking across all websites using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Our website may also use basic, non-invasive technical data (such as font loading via Google Fonts) to display correctly. We do not currently use advertising trackers or sell any data collected through analytics.
For family, maternity, and newborn sessions, a parent or legal guardian provides consent on behalf of any children photographed, including for any portfolio or social media use as described above.
We keep booking and contact information for as long as needed to provide our services and meet our legal/tax record-keeping obligations, and delete or anonymise it when it's no longer needed. Edited photo galleries may be retained for a reasonable period to allow reprints or repurchases.
Under the Privacy Act 2020, you have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, request a correction, or ask us to delete information we no longer need to hold. To do so, contact us using the details below.
We take reasonable steps to protect your information, including using reputable, secure third-party providers for payments, bookings, and hosting rather than storing sensitive data ourselves.
